5 JUN 2023: last week Barney the Barn Owl returned to hunting at Rosewyn after an absence of a few months. We do not know where he (we guess it's a he?) actually lives and there is no sign of him moving into the deluxe residence that we built for him. Barney can be seen most evenings at twilight flying across the field and occassionally swooping down on his prey, a magnificanet sight.
